About
In the century-long quest for African agency, have we made our ancestors proud? -------------- Speaker: Joy Eze This study examines the African Renaissance from its Pan-African roots with figures like W.E.B. Du Bois and Kwame Nkrumah to its modern articulation by Thabo Mbeki. This illuminating study explores the movement's political, economic, and cultural dimensions aimed at promoting African pride and overcoming the legacy of colonialism. Eze will identify the continent's achievements, from the OAU to Agenda 2063, and confront persistent challenges, ultimately questioning whether this intellectual reawakening has truly secured Africa's global agency.
