EXPERIENCED ACCOUNTANT

About the role

We are urgently seeking a seasoned Company Accountant with strong logistics/warehousing experience to join our team in Isolo, Lagos. The ideal candidate must be experienced in financial reporting, TAX/VAT compliance, online banking operations, reconciliations, payroll, and logistics accounting, with the ability to lead and supervise an accounting team effectively. The successful candidate must be available to resume immediately. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. * Handle tax filing, VAT computation, and remittance to relevant authorities. * Manage online banking transactions, reconciliations, and payment processing. * Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure financial compliance. * Track logistics-related expenses, vendor payments, receivables, and payables. * Prepare payroll and ensure statutory deductions are remitted promptly. * Lead, supervise, and coordinate the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of tasks. * Review the work of accounting staff and ensure proper financial controls are followed. * Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other financial institutions. * Support management with financial analysis, budgeting, and decision-making.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably within logistics, warehousing, or transportation.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, TAX, VAT, payroll, and online banking.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage an accounting team.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must reside in or be able to commute easily to Ikeja GRA, Lagos.
• Immediate availability is required.
