10,000 Black Interns Programme 2026/27

About the role

10,000 Black Interns Programme 2026/27 is a paid summer internship programme for Black students and recent graduates in the UK, offering access to 47 workstreams across 35+ sectors. Applications open from October 5, 2026, to November 1, 2026. Participants must be at least 18 years old, Black African, Black Caribbean, Black British, or of mixed heritage, and must be studying at a UK university or have a confirmed place at a UK university. Applicants must have an unrestricted right to work full-time in the UK. The programme provides paid, time-limited internships with mentoring and training. Employers retain responsibility for shortlisting and selection.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be Black African, Black Caribbean, Black British or of mixed Black heritage.
• Be studying at a UK university at undergraduate or postgraduate level; or
• Be taking a gap year with a confirmed place at a UK university; or
• Be a recent graduate of a UK university who graduated in 2024 or later.
• Have not previously secured an internship through the 10,000 Black Interns Programme.
• Have an unrestricted right to work full-time in the UK.
