About the role

AIDHealth Inc. is a non-religious, not-for-profit organisation registered with Nigeria's Corporate Affairs Commission in 2024. The organisation works to improve access to healthcare for marginalised and displaced populations, with a particular focus on women, children, and young people. Through research, strategic partnerships, and community-driven programmes, AIDHealth aims to strengthen health systems and promote equitable healthcare services for vulnerable communities. The role is remote and offered on a contract basis for research assistants. Successful candidates will support research activities involving Hausa-language social media content.

Requirements

• Hold a first degree in Social Sciences, Languages, Media, or a related field.
• Have at least two years of experience in research assistance, qualitative coding, transcription, or translation.
• Be a native Hausa speaker who can read Boko (Roman-script Hausa). Knowledge of Ajami (Arabic-script Hausa) is an advantage.
• Have good written English skills.
• Actively use Hausa social media and understand Hausa slang, proverbs, and code-switching.
• Be organised, consistent, reliable, and able to meet deadlines.
