About the role

International Alert is hiring a Child Rights and Responsible Business Intern in Abuja to support the work of a peacebuilding organization with nearly 30 years of experience. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Law, Human Rights, Business Management, International Development, Public Policy, or Social Sciences, combined with strong research, analytical, and report-writing skills. Candidates must demonstrate a client-focused mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage with government, civil society, and private sector stakeholders. The intern will assist in programme implementation, stakeholder engagement, and policy analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Law, Human Rights, Business Management, International Development, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Demonstrated interest in Child Rights, Business and Human Rights, Corporate Sustainability, ESG, Responsible Business Conduct, Safeguarding, or related fields.
• Strong research, analytical, and report-writing skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment.
