OPEC is taking nominations for its Award for the Best Energy Research Institute, which recognises outstanding contributions to knowledge of the oil and energy industry. The award will be presented at the 10th OPEC International Seminar in Vienna, Austria, on 7-8 July 2027. Who it is for: well-known non-profit research institutes in energy and oil with a long record of objective, science-based research, especially on oil-related issues, that have improved understanding of the oil market and promoted energy research in OPEC Member Countries or other developing countries. What you get: EUR 10,000 and a memento. A panel of industry professionals inside and outside the OPEC Secretariat picks the winner.
